spearfishing 6/13

went spearfishing today at windansea and it was really murky. speared a 18 inch corbina and my friend speared a 20 incher. thats just about it. we saw some some juvi whites also and he saw a little halibut. until tomorrow.

The kelp in LJ is dying off. Had more luck with yellows and whites in PL. There is only like half of the kelp left in lj but some is starting to grow back.

Where are you seeing the half that is there? I went out on Sunday and found a total of 6 strand that was attched to the ocean floor. There was a tiny bed in 30' of water right off Boomers.

well there is less then half now...last time I went out at boomers was like a mothin ago and I shot a 25lb Yellowtail but havent been out at the kelp in la jolla in a couple weeks. go to pl its better....or go out to the islands...I think most of the whites have made there was out there anyway
