Lost WEIGHT Belt

Hey whats up? I was diving Tamarack yesterday and we swam out to the kelp patty, using body boards to hold our gear, i was laying on the board and probably got smashed by a wave anyway long story short i lost my dive belt. Lets see it was a black bely with aproximately 12-14 lbs of weigth on it as well as my lucky lobster guage which has been tied to the belt for 2 years now, if anyone finds it let me know, the belt had 1 big 5 lb plate on it just in case anyone spots it. Other than that i still managed to get down and check things out visibility was 8-10 ft at the jelp patty, saw nothing but smelt, i was diving with CaptLeo and he saw a few bass and some lobsters, we left empty handed but the swim to the patty was awesome, water was nicxe and warm and the clouds cleared up just long enought for the dive.

Bummer about the belt... I may get out there tomorrow so if i run across it i'll let you know. I'm surprised you didn't see any halibut. Was diving there about 2-3 weeks ago and the vis was horrible (maybe 3-4 feet at best). although I saw a ton of halibut... just not quite big enough.
I saw you out there yesterday on my way back from work. I was wondering if you had any luck. Thanks for the post!

That sucks.. Stupid question.. If you had dive gear, how could you have not found it?

Freediving. I backtracked quite a bit and didn't see it. Not to mention his 7mm wetsuit, he bobbed around like a cork. You should have seen him try to get down, quite a sight to see.

Yeah, that pic was taken at Palomar a few years ago. Actually just rode up there Sunday. Don't get out as much as I used to, having a couple youngins at home. Priorities change a bit.
