so i just got my gun set up and wanna go out this weekend, first dive for the season, dont have a dive buddy and looking to meet some guys, i wanna go to a san diego free divers meeting and meet some there but i also wanna try this site... if any one is going out or thinking about it please let me know... n of pt. loma s. of del mar i usually only go in mission jetty but wanna try some where new with some people that know what they're doing.. just bought my gun a few weeks ago and got floats this week so ive yet to use it im assuming mark from the spear shack hooked it up but i know nothing, only about my sling that ive held on to for so long
The next SD Freedivers meeting is on the 28th. There is a BBQ on the 19th, it is supposed to be for members only, but contact someone from the club and check it out. It is at James and Joseph. I would go dive with you, but I lost my weight belt and need to get a new one.

Don't worry too much about it. This board is mainly rod and reel fisherpersons, some don't spearfish and just read the posts. I saw you posted on Spearboard, you should get a few more replies over there.

yeah ive gotten a few hits over there, and i totally agree with this place being more of a browsing page for everyone, why cause if there is fish in the water and a speargun we'll get them before most catch them??? well thats my theory

i got a cressi pro 115 and i use a floatline, i went out today and the waves were huge just s of la jolla maybe it will die down by this weekend shoot a pm letting me know when you're available

I have one you can have. Its in good shape, I just never dive anymore. PM me. Tried to sell it at a recent garage sale to no avail...
ahh i dive mostly in san diego, s. of la jolla and north of point loma, im willing to dive north county, carlsbad oceanside... i just dont know anywhere up there... i shore dive but willing to go on boat i dont have one but got gas money and ice beer anything else....
