Re: 7day

The only boats that run a 7 day in November are the Polaris Supreme and the Vagabond...there might be a few others but thats what I found. Did a 6 day on the vagabond the end of september and had great hoo fishing and plugged the boat with schoolie Yellowfin. Polaris Supreme is a top notch boat....never fished it but have heard great things about it

Another option

I would look at the Royal star at the end of oct for a 7 day....better weather and the Hoo's are happening. If you are thinking November......go long and do a 10 day..................big tuna and hoo's along with Yellowtail on the way home.

7 days are nice but 10 are better if you can swing it.

Be sure to write a report with pictures if you go because you know that the guys around here will call bullshit without pics

Re: 7day

I have fished the Polaris Supreme many times on a 9 day that always left around the first of September and we absolutely slayed the wahoo at the rocks. Very few boats go down that early and as a result the wahoo are unmolested and ready to chew. There was always plenty of that 30 to 80 pound Yellow Fin Tuna around as well but the Catchy tackle charter mainly targeted the skin. Later in the season there are more boats that go down and the increased boat traffic, sometimes 3 to 4 boats at once, drive the wahoo down. The downside with September is the very real threat of hurricanes churning up the baja coastline from Cabo.

Re: 7day

I am trying to fill this trip with people that love to fish. It's next June 8-15th on the Excel.
Limited to 25 anglers, fishing the Excel for trophy fish on the beautiful coast and islands of Baja. Imagine setting up chumlines in remote, barely fished locations. Catching homeguard yellows, calicos , WSB, halibut and??? Tuna are NOT off the table, but this trip will focus on SoCal style fishing to the extreme. When I discussed this type of trip with Justin of the Excel, he was excited and looked forward to this trip. So, I look forward to an adventurous trip where I expect many "personal bests" and who knows... maybe some records! Bring it all and be ready for anything!
Cost is only $2180.00 (verify on the Excel home page)
Feel free to email me if you have any questions
