Phil also taught here in the States at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance in the '80s.
He used to hand out 976-TUNA stickers to the students.

Prob too many issues at that level...we're just talking fishing here for the most part I guess, not border fences and all the other political agenda...maybe with Phil's credentials he can do some good?

Re: Philip Friedman will meet with Mexican Naval Officials

Does he have the authority to negotiate anything on behalf of the United States or is he just going as 976-Tuna / Private Citizen?

What A waste of time. Maybe he will get to tour the big navy vessel, and they will show him were they keep the ammo, that they give to the little kids in uiform, before they go trick or treating.

Re: Philip Friedman will meet with Mexican Naval Officials

Their recent election was a bigger pissing contest than GBW vs. Gore.
That said, if Department/Bureau in Mexico City was for (A) and Ensenada,Acapulco/Tijuana or wherever was for (B) . Its just another pissing contest.

"I collect the money from the Gringo's , You send the navy, we keep the money and I split it with you" Pfck e'm."

Now I know our respectful southern brothers would never stoop to something of the sort but, considering kidnaping is a cottage industry in mexico (no caps)

On the other hand, maybe its just a mistake, pay us for next year and we will get it figured out while we are in Vegas.
