Is it out of the question at this point? Or do any of you know if a boat will decide to check it out any day now. I am only curious because it seems that the style and tackle I would need for the Lupe is a little more unique than just a few days of Albie fishing with a stop at Cedros. I'm thinking I will probably need to book another trip in the fall if I'm going to finally get to fish there.
I've also heard you guys mention that you can call the captain and get his input, but I just can't see when they would get the time to shoot the shit with me about my upcoming trip. I just feel like I don't want to bother them? Is it really cool to do that? Thanks for helping a rook. |
Last year was a beyond warm water year. It was hot, and the Albies came through in June and were gone early. It was also a great year at Lupe. Heck, we caught Yellowfin there on a 7 day in mid June. Now that was weird.
Every year is different. This year, there's decent sign of offshore tuna. I would look to spend several days offshore with a possible visit to Lupe or Cedros/Benitos for some yankin' and crankin' on Yellowtail. Ya just never know.

It's really cool to do that. Call the office, and if the captains can't return your call in a timely fashion, one of the crew should be able to do it. I've always had success talking to somebody whether if was Frank for a Shogun trip, or Sam or Brian for a trip on the Angler. Call them. You're their guest and they appreciate your business. What boat are you on?
