what's the shelf life of Mono....or Flouro?

i got P-Line and Izor from at least 2 seasons old...
and Seaguar topshots from at least 2 seasons old too...

stored in the dark closet..
what's the shelf life of mono and Flouro?

I'm not expert but I've had bulk spools of line in a cool dark closet for 3 seasons now and the stuff is like brand new.

Spooled line stored in a dark, cool space or wrapped so that sunlight doesn't get to it will last several years. Top shots and mono on reels should be changed at least annually. Large capacity reels (4/0, 6/0 ) can be loaded with Dacron backing and topped off with 2-3 hundred yrds. of mono.

Check your Flouro if you have left it for a few years, especially in a garage with gas fumes etc. I had some fluoro I let sit and it lost a lot of its strength. It will break pretty easy if its bad..
