Mono to floro 100#-200#

I know Tuna rings will do the job, but what about the normal Seaguar, uni or surgeons knot for connecting heavy 100-200# line and 3'-4' FC . How comfortable do you feel with these knots and heavy line?:bablefish

Not comfortable at all... Why mono to flouro? Do your reels have spectra on them? Anyway, knots won't be pretty in that size line. There are several better ways to do what you're asking.

Crimp the topshot to a swivel; crimp the fluoro leader on the other side.

Basil,
How about using a grommet for the connector (to avoid the tight line and FC turn on a swivel)?

Hi Jep,

I really like those ring/grommet connections and I think your idea is a good one. If the purpose of the fluoro leader is for chunking, I'd still opt for the swivel. I made some custom double trouble rigs this year using ring/grommet connections and they worked great, really compact. For some applications though, I like a swivel in the equation.
