All I can say is,I love fishing the Islands with Bradly!!!!Catalina,Clemente,Santa Barbara,or Santa Rosa, more times then not he puts the String right on top of the fish!Fish all winter with the String out of LA harbor, then when she moves down south we make the drive.Fall is my favorite time of year because that means it time to get ready for her first six day of the year.I have almost as much fun getting ready for the trip as I do fishing it!!!This year it would be myself,Ed,Sam and Rolo,Mike sorry your wife decided to have a baby this year, because the fish finally bit!!!!

We arrived at the Island Friday 10\20 about 10:00am.with Pilot being the first stop. With a ripping current I dropped down deep with 80lb. for one of those nice yeller's and 5 sec. later I was on!Second drop same thing HAMMERED,and 2 fat 35lb+ yellows lay on the deck!!!Great start to out trip, with a few others doing the same the bit slowed...We then began to see tuna so Bradly decided to stay for a look.At 2:00pm we hooked our first Tuna at Pilot and the bit went until dark with over 30 fish being landed,a few smaller grade, but most were 40 to 60lbs.We stayed the night and in the morning landed a few of the nicer Yellow's but no Tuna,so we were off.We ended up not far just past Boxer's Glove where we did our Lupe style fishing of lots of waiting, all jumpers but no biters!!!Then at 4:00pm they finally came on and these were nice fish 60lbs on up to 100lbs.we lost as many as we landed,I should of been using my 40lb.but I love my 30lb.to much,so I payed the price by going 1 for 3 that evening! I think 15 of the bigger fish hit the deck in those 2 hours!!!We stayed the night at the Caves and in the moring they were gone, out to the deeper water. So we were off again on our third day to find only few Yellow's until we set up just south of Battleship. It was very slow only landing about one fish an hour until about 5:00pm(if you notice, the fish bit an hour later each day, like clock work)when once again all hell broke loss!!!!!!We had 2 to 5 fish going into the dark. This was a very mixed school, with 25 to 100+lber's all in the same bite,it was to say the least INSANE!!!!!!I went 2 for 4 almost getting spooled twice on my thirty

Just at dark Sam and I were making our last cast when he was picked up right away, then that fish dumpped half his fourty in about 10sec.Sam I think you have a nicer one I'll see ya after dinner!!!Thirty minutes later, and chased up to the bow by the tax man his fish was stuck and the last 90lber.hit the deck!!!!!!!!!!!!For once the tuna out ran the Shark NICE!!

Everyone had a chance that night at the Lupes tunieeeeeee!!!!That final day and a half we caught very little, and it reminded me of other trips to the Lupe.We spent our last night at the Caves again with some big fish making a show. They swam though twice,we hooked 3 the first time and 4 the second, with not one being landed.Everyone that hooked one was using 40 and 50lb.and was unable to stop um!!!!!!

They were the nice ones. The final morning we fished up the back for wide open Yellow's on the yo yo iron and headed home...........I don't know what the final count was and it does'nt really matter,we all brough home between 300 to 400lbs.of fish!!!!!!!!!

It was am epic Lupe trip with the chance to catch a big fish almost every day!!!!!!Brad, once again you-da-man,and we'll see ya for the Seabass this winter!!! Congrates to Bob on the jack pot,as well as Sam and Ed from BAJA FISH GEAR!!!!!And for Alan T.no flouro was used, and it didn't seem to matter!!! I did feel kinda bad unloading all our fish next to those 10 day boat that were coming in,OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!All pic's be up by morning!!!!!!!!
