Thumbs up Shimano Evair Boots Review

Well, it's been a long time coming. I finally got around to it this weekend. Here's MY take on the new Shimano Evair Boots coming out this winter....

Thanks for the review. How well would these boots hold up to punctures, tears or other sharp objects?

Well, I guess it depends on what you are stepping on. Sea Urchin? Probably not a problem. A Rusty Nail? Uh, better think twice.

I'm more thinking along the lines of hooks and such. On my xtra tuffs the hook won't snag it. Being as these are foam will a hook snag it and what are the chances of the hook going through (how easy?). I'm also thinking about fish spines.

Hmm, even though I said "foam", it's just really more like a spongy feel to it than the foam you might be thinking about. I'm trying to think of something else that have this texture material. They seem pretty durable, though. IMO Fish spines would not be a problem. Most hooks would not be a problem. I don't see any scrapes or cuts on the boots at all.
