JAMIE!!!
For the first day of this three day trip, Norman brought the Shogun down south to Guadalupe island and it paid off for these lucky passengers. Little did they expect that when they boarded yesterday that 40 to 100 pound yellowfin loomed in their future. Today was spent on the anchor, with the classic 'lupe pick type bite going throughout the rest of the day until dark. The stand out fish, a 115 pounder landed by Brad Watts, was caught from under a kite while useing the infamous "double trouble" rig. Most of the other tuna were landed on 40 pound tackle and fly-lined sardines.
The 'lupe is going through some up and down days now and is no longer the slam dunk it once was two weeks ago. Not to say there isn't going to be some more hits here in the near future, its just not an everyday, every boat occurance.
