left sat. for a four day on the Vagabond, Headed straight for the island, not even stopping for hookups on the troll,some guys had fun skipping in 20 lb. Yellow Fin Tuna. not easy, even on heavy gear. Pick bite for 2 days but nice fish, 50-90 lb Yellow Fin Tuna and 30-50 lb Yellowtail. 16 hookups total, 6 Yellow Fin Tuna and 3 Yellowtail, usual casualties, tangles, breakoffs, tax man, and got spooled once, 400 yards, never stopped. Great capt. crew and food, would def. recommend the Vag. Headed for Abre/La bocana next week, heard its picking up there. Bueno suerte---------Bajabum

mostly used 30 with flouro, 1/0 circle. probably why i got spooled. however, i get more bites, boat average was 4 per angler, i managed 9, but probably more losses than average. (better to have loved and lost etc.) Having technical difficulties posting pics, but when i figure it out, watch out, i have hundreds. Yep, it was nice having someone do the driving.----------Bajabum

Heya;
Went on the following trip 23-27 on the Vag. Mike put us on the fish on the south end of the island. Most everyone was fishing the 40 flouro on the 40lb topshot. We managed 75 Yellow Fin Tuna on a 4 day trip, most in the 50-60lb class. Big fish on the trip was 97lbs. I got 84lb on 40lb rig.
Headed back down on 13th on Shogun.
