| TRIP OPENINGS THIS SEASON!!!
For those who have not yet signed up for a trip this year, there are still openings on three great trips!
They are:
#1) 8 Day trip, June 2nd-10th
Cost: $1575 plus permits
Destination: This trip usually fishes Alijos, The Ridge, and Thetis.
Target species: Hopefully YFTs. This trip has also had some of the most outstanding fishing for Yellowtail that I have ever seen, both quantity and quality, for the last two years. We also have a very realistic chance at the season's first shot of big BFTs! An added attraction was the marlin that were hooked on surface iron. If you like fishing the long rod, this is THE trip for you!
#2) 5 Day trip, July 9th-14th
Cost: $1400 plus permits
Destination: This trip has a wide variety of possibilities. It is usually run as a tuna freelance but has also hit San Benitos, Cedros, and the 'lupe. We go where the fish are!
Target species: Albacore, Blue Fin Tuna, and Yellowtail are the general targets on this trip but on this one you just never know! We have had BET, Yellow Fin Tuna, WSB, big calicos, and halibut!
#3) 5 Day trip, Sept 18th-23rd
Cost: $1400 plus permits
Destination: Tuna Freelance/Guadalupe (Or where ever the big'uns are!)
Target species: This trip has had excelent catches of Yellow Fin Tuna up to and exceeding 100lbs. at the 'lupe, the last of the year's albies, and some outrageous wide open Blue Fin Tuna stops!
All trips will include a tackle drawing, (Giveaway!), where everyone will win some tackle item that they can use on the trip up to and including a custom stick wrapped by yours truly! The trips are also sponsered by me.
If you are not already on a trip this season, (Or if you just want to jump on another one!), call Andrea or Scotty in the SHOGUN office at (619)226-8030 or give me a holler at the shop at (661)831-7774
LET'S GO FORTH AND SLAY!!!

Chris is a fantastic host, a great teacher of casting the long rod, and has very nice giveaways. If he has openings, he won't for long.

I can attest to that. Those Yellows last year were crazed. Come to think of it, so were a couple of the anglers. How about that Dyna-Troll?

Watching Chris Granucci heave a long, aluminum trolling lure like a jig was funny enough.
Seeing him catch at least 4 big yellows grinding that thing was a riot!

Chris C. / Steve K.
I'll be slingin those bastards again in June on my 5 dayer (Shogun of course).
I can't make your 8 dayer this year. I'm taking my 11y/o son on his first LR. It's time to call the kid up from the minors and see how he does in the "Bigs". He's more pumped than I am if thats even possible I wanted to start him off at 5days and make adjustments up or down from there. If he does well you can bet your ass I'll be on your 8 dayer again next year. That was a great bunch of guys. I've aquired some more Dynatroll's. It's time to give those big yellas some more oral trauma!:taurus:
L.A.'s still burnin

I remember you were using and old Fenwick Grizzly for chucking iron. Still your favorite jig stick, or have ya retired that one? If so, what's your newest choice.
I'm still using my OR-D8 that you wrapped for me before you opened your own shop.

RETIRE IT?! The FLAG STICK?! Bite yer tounge!
Yeah Bobby, I still use that one for throwin' and yo yoin' the heavys. For casting lights my favorite is a Seeker 550 but I've also been using a CEX ULUA 93H-10' that I like a whole bunch!
