3 spots open up on Willy Wahoodad 11 day

2 spots now, one booked.

As always, there are cancellations. Our trip has been full for quite some time, now we have three openings. It is an 11 day trip on Intrepid, Javier is chef as far as I know (I'm galley assistant as far as I know, so I get to fish with you guys), Kevin is running the boat, we are hoping for the big ones on this trip. We leave November 14th, return the 25th, day before Thanksgiving. Price is all inclusive $3,450. If you've been hoping to go with us, call Carol ASAP at 877-686-7827 and help these guys out who had to bail for whatever reason it was. Darn, they are paid in full, hate to see them lose their money.

BTW, coming back up on our 15 day trip, we did meter some schools of big tuna on the lower banks, but the water was very warm, and we got no response from them.
Now, on this current trip they are on, they actually had some largers boil up on the lower banks. Weather was up, and those fish didn't bite at all, but things look like they are falling into place. This last little wind storm might have lowered the water temp enough for us to get some vaca!

I have got a question wahoodad, are these trips "all-inclusive".Does the cost of trip cover tip's for Capt.,chef's and mates?
Just need to know.I want to do one of these trips but I need to know about all the financial responsibility.
If tip's are not included what is the norm for tipping the crew?
I really want to do one of these trips but I live on the East coast and need to have all the info I can get.
Thanks!

On Intrepid, permits and fuel are included, thus the "all inclusive" statement. However, it does not include gratuities. Of course, a tip is based upon performance, but in most cases 10-20% of the cost of the trip is appropriate.

Most times we have loaner gear for anglers who might not have the total gear package for a trip like this, but on this trip I think most the gear is already reserved. That goes for a nominal fee, which is basically you pay for the monofilament on the reel, and of course each time you fill the reel up another topshot charge. And then, on our boat, a one time $5.00 fee for kite leaders, whether it be double trouble, squid or flyer leaders, one time no matter how many times we go through the kite rotation.

Give us a try, or any of the long range boats for that matter. We had a guy on Ken Bush's 7 day trip from Florida who had a great time, and will be back again next year.

Hi David, is this trip going to be a straight run down to Hurricane Bank or will we be going to Alijo's, the ridge and Mag Bay? Reason I ask is I don't really want to drive 8 days for 3 days of fishing. In addition, I only have 1 100lb and 1 130 lb setup. I contacted Carol last week and have the time off but want to find the right trip to head out on. Thanks!

I would say we have a 90% chance that we are NOT going to the Hurricane bank. I would guess Alijos or the ridge, followed by a look at the lower banks. If no show there after a day or two, back to the ridge or Alijos.

Naw, maybe 95%. I really doubt HB.

Cool! I just left Carol a voicemail. Am I good with a 100 and 130 for the trip? I ordered 3 wind on topshots of each for my rigs.

Nice avatar Jeff. Yes, if you have one 100# outfit, and one 130# outfit, plus all the other stuff we spoke of, you are good to go.

Nice, we'll definitely get some coverage. Any day now IMO.

Yep any day now, just waiting for the water to cool a little. How was it on the bait last time through?

We had some 28 day bait, and even super cured bait doesn't like 86 degree water!
