i fish a 533P 5.5 on that and its a good combo.

Newells are decent reels for slinging the jig, they have word well for a very long time.

Freshone21, do you like 'em wide or do you like 'em narrow?

I've fished the Newell 533 in two widths on an Ulua and both worked well, but I prefer the narrowed version. I expect that you will prefer one or the other and you'll use what you like, so get the one you like.

Check out the Trinidad 16, 20, and 30. That's a real good place to start.

I def like to narrow's. Im worries that the trinidads will be to heavy. Im just about to pull the trigger on the 533
