I used a TN20 on my last trip to cedros. Worked well. This time, I'm thinking TN40N.

these guys have caught a lot of fish, and a lot of big fish.
Factor that into your decision making.

Factor that into your decision making. | At the same time they are just boat reels, when they are toast the make great sliding sinkers. Their are not many reels I don't like, I just like some more for certin situations. Newells are not the best hard core reel, but they are known to cast a country mile for quite some time. Trinadad 30's & 20's also work well on the mighty Ulua's. The Ulua is a rod that goes on every trip with me from 1/2 day to multiday.

Factor that into your decision making. | How did your 533 do in June on a 50# tuna?
And then again... how did my TO 20 do on a 15# yellow last year?
But that was after many fish, and like I said, its worth the added drag and crank power to risk a failure and then just drop it off in Irvine on the drive home...

No fricken way can I cast my 655N any way near as well as my Trini 30, but the drags are increadable

I have both set-ups, Accurate and the Newell 533. The Accurate has better drag but the Newell just feels better.
