I strongly disagree with that Jim. I would not fish a topshot that has oxidation on the aluminum crimps.

If you have this scenario, and you do inline splices like I do, easy enough to slide a new brass crimp on (I only use brass now), about 2 inches shy of the second crimp, crimp it and glue from the second crimp to an inch past the 3rd crimp.

If you make L2Ls, undo the loop, do as I stated there, and redo your loop.

Are the brass crimps from Sato? If not, where are you getting them?

Thanks

I just meant to bring some extra Fluoro for backup, that way if all three of your favorite test wind on gets jacked up you don't have to go begging.

At Alijos on The RP I got most of my best tuna to 80# on straight 50 Mamoi with 3 or 4 ft of 50 Seagaur flouro and a 3/0 ringed gorilla hook. Fishing a Saltist 50 with 400 yds of 65 JB spectra with a worm knot. I finally learned how to catch tuna at the bait tank!

Learn to make your own.. Make a few here, make a few there, before you know it you just do it while your watching TV...

Also it can cut down on the cost... a little I think.
