I used a bunch of 'em, but my largest fish were caught on bait. My go to bait stick was a Phenix 650 H with an Avet HX fishing No. 12 Seaguar Flourocarbon (36 ft. toposhot) to 65lb. spectra with a 2/0 ringed Owner mutu. Fish fear this rig.

Congrats on a great trip. I'm leaving on the Pacific Star on tues. for a 5.5 day trip to Guadalupe. Can you give us some idea of what types and colors of jigs the yellowtail and tuna were hitting? I'm bringing mostly Salas 6x and 6x jr in blu and white, scrambled egg, and chrome. Do I have it covered or is there something else I should throw in?
