I will be driving to Cabo San Lucas leaving on Oct 30. for the Won tuna tournament. There is safety in numbers. Wandering if anyone else is driving down at that time and would like to caravan down. If anyone has any info on road conditions and what to watch out for I would appreciate the input.
Just got back from a trip to Punta Chivato. The roads are in good shape. As you get south of Santa Rosalia they are beat up from the huricane last month but very passable. There is very little traffic on the roads right now as there just are not a lot of people down there. The miltary check points are in the usual palces and going south you probably won't even be stoped north probably about a 5 minute inspection of your car. Mind your speed through the cities as there are a lot of federal highway police out patrolling Enjoy the scenery and stop and smell the roses every once in a while. Fyi I did it with my 9 and 12 year old and we had a blast, we do this trip 3-5 times a year and have never had a problem.
