Long Range Weather Reports?

My Dad is currently on the Q105 on the 15 day trip and i was wondering if anyone new where to check the weather reports for that part of the ocean down by the Hurricane bank? I see there is a Tropical storm or possible Hurricane down south working its way up and i wanted to find some sort of sight that would give me updates on the weather for that region. Also if anyone heard if the Q105 was going to need to wait it out some where else while that storm moved by. I would hate to goi on a 15 day trip to end up stuck half way down fishing for 100lbs instead of the "COWS".

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Scotty

Try this, click on map below for "swell height". It shows wave predictions for the next week or so. I'd also check out the swell period. The shorter the period, the rougher it feels out there. Anything below 8 seconds is rough.

I like the interactive link.

NOAA WAVEWATCH III wave models (interactive)

Click on the animated link and put in ENP Westcoast you can either put in wave height, wind speed and freguency.

Well a fishing trip is what it is. We ran into a hurricane on our 8 day the fist of this month and had to spend 2 days inside Mag bay hiding from it. However, it was better than being at work and we had all the booze we could drink. Of course we ran out of our own beer stash (around 1200 assorted cans) a couple of days later but the boat brought more as a backup.

Now who of us would like to trade places with Scott's father???

Use this link,
http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fmtb...hc.hsf.ep2.txt
You need to know the Lat Lon location for the bank.
16 deg 53 min North and 117 deg 38 min west.
Doesn't look too bad, the storm is inside of them now.
