To answer the question about closing the Lupe, I don't think anyone knows why. The Mex. govt. seems to just want to tightly control it (like said requires special permits - writsbands) and doesn't care about our fishing schedules.

There is an organization that could learn something about customer service and making money. The permit fees aren't anything but the closures are annoying.

I wouldn't say that "Nobody knows why"...but I would agree that Mexico has complete controll over what happens with their islands...as they should. If there are areas they don't want us to fish in, as per a condition of the fleet being able to fish the island....JUST DON'T FISH THERE doesn't matter how BIG BAOT
