Thanks for the report and pics.

I fished the BMS once on a 3 day trip. The ocean was flatt the entire time, so the small beam and long LOA didn't really matter.

I took my girlfriend with me, and she had never been on an overnight trip, let alone a 3 day trip, and she loved it.

The crew was outstanding.......as was the fishing. We fished one single kelp paddy the entire trip....seriously. It was the largest paddy I have ever seen in my life, and it was full of 30 pound yellows, yellowfin, and BIG bull dodos from 20 up to 45 pounds. There were thousands and thousands of fish on it. Insane.

You do get what you pay for though. I certainly prefer the Excel, but the BMS is a great value and a solid boat, with a great captain and crew.

Good report! I understand how you might feel, I took a trip on the holiday and was dissapointed but that is fishing there is no guaratees, I might have to try the BMS next year. Thanks for the report.
