30lb - SS 6480 w/ Avet MXL 6/3
40lb - SS 6470 w/ Avet JX 6/3
50lb - SS 6470H w/ Avet HX 5/2
80lb - Seeker Classic 6460XXH with Avet 30W
100lb - SS 2x4 w/ Avet 50 SDS
30lb - Calstar GG690J with Saltiga 40 (SURFACE)
40lb - SS Ulua 9'3" w/ Avet HX 5/2 (SURFACE)
So do I really need to drop coin on double outfits? If so, which one(s) would you double up on and what rod(s)/reel(s) would you recommend to fill things out? Let me know of experiences you have been in where having doubles really made a difference... |
I'd switch up the line on your jig sticks with 40# on the 690J and 50# on the Ulua. I used 40# on my GG690j last June and it worked great!
I don't think you
need anymore set ups.
If I were in your shoes, however, I'd get another 50# rig (one for bait, one for yo-yo). Just an idea...
