| WFO tackle bags, beware
Just and FYI if you are considering buying a WFO tackle system. I have a large Offshore bag bought in 07. It has been on about 8 trips; 2-10days, 1-5day, 1-3day, the rest 2 days. Love the size and storage capability. Only problem is, after only 8 trips, the zipper closure mechanisms broke off. I emailed WFO for no response. Called them today and spoke with Doug. He claims they have a limited lifetime waranty, but zipper corrosion is not covered. Now,after the first 2day trip with this bag, I realized corrosion was a problem. I started putting corrosionX on before every trip, and after. Didn't do any good. Just some food for thought if you are looking to buy one of these.

I've owned two wfo's for many years and never had a problem with the zippers, been on MANY trips, but I do spray them with corrosionX after every trip.

I have to say I have been on so many trips with my WFO bags and Not once had a problem with them, I have drenched them in saltwater and no corrosion on any of my 3 bags, Sorry to hear you had a problem with yours but no point in putting the maker on Blast. Doug is a really good guy and is very good about working with you if there was a problem with the mechandise he sells.

Without the zipper function how is his gear going to keep dry.
Fishnrust, what does the "limited" part of the warrenty say?

I have a WFO reel bag. A bit of CorrosionX on each of the zippers each season keeps them working well.
Sorry to hear about your problem.
