I take it you got the hall pass from mama?

This trip's starting to get good, and we're not even on the boat yet. I can hardly wait for the reports after the trip! I'm working today and tomorrow and then heading south on Firday. I spoke with the office yesterday and got no indication that we would be getting an early start, so we'll see what happens. So for now, I guess I'll be showing up fashionably late at 9:00 A.M. I surely do like boarding by the numbers like they do it on Shogun. Very orderly, no pushing or shoving and Sean and the guys do such a great job directing traffic, loading carts and getting us on the boat.

That's good that they board by numbers. It sure beats the chinese fire drill method.

Steve, those bigger models have been there since end of Aug. We pulled in to the rocks just ahead of the hurricane...flat calm and no current. Never could get them to go, but it was bitchen watching football field size areas of water erupt with them chasing the 3-4 inch flyers. Wahoo were weird too...no interest at all in bombs or iron, and many of the stops were on sonar nests. Bait was the ticket. After watching all the chew threws on 40 and 60# stranded wire I went old school 38# ingle strand with 25# test...had a fine time. Hope they go for you...one way or the other it'll be a good time. Get some.

Craig, how good to hear from you. Thanks for the good luck wishes. I've been thinking about that Wahoo Stealth Rig. Saw the guys on the November trip set up that way. I guess one more outfit won't hurt a thing. 25 lb on a Penn 535GS, slowed down with the 5.3:1 gears on a Seekr 270H-8. Have had a lot of fun with that setup. I think I'll bring it along. All I have is stranded wire, but I'm sure somebody will have some solid stuff and teach me how to do a Haywire Twist.
edit: Oh, shit. I just noticed, 2,000 posts. I gotta get a life!
