I get to Whack the Wahoo

Well it took some wheeling and dealing, begging and postponing of a hunting trip but I was able to get the go ahead on the Whack the Wahoo trip on the Qualifier. I just cant get enough of wahoo. I was hooked after fishing for them this past March. This will be my first trip on a boat other that the RR3. Any suggestions or opinions about the Qualifier are appreciated. I have heard its a good boat with a good crew. Anyone else on this trip?

Good Fishing,
Jeff

I will see you on the boat. Qualifier is one of the best ridding boats in the San Diego Long Range Fleet.

Wait, you postponed a hunting trip to kill wahoo? I thought I was the only one retarded enough to do that I had to give up my 2 week elk hunt this fall. Why is life full of so many hard choices?

The Q105 is the lowest in the water in the fleet. Rides great and the crew is a great bunch of guys. You will crack up to the comedy of the chefs: Chris and Cappy. I am going on the 15 day trip after yours Oct. 16-Oct. 31. We are bound for the Hurricane Bank, weather permitting. Last year's trip resulted in full holds in 2 1/2 days. 21 cows and 150 wahoo. We would have had a bigger wahoo catch if we could have stayed on the Bank a few more days. By the way, we do have some openings on our trip. See my post on the Non-BD charters board. It will be co-sponsored by The Rusty Hook Tackle, Seeker Rods, and Accurate Reels.

Good fishing,
