Talking Excel 7 Day June 20th-27th

Showed up at Fisherman's Landing at 7AM full of spunk watching the Q-105 unload and then the Excel unload of a 5 Day. Everyone was ready to go and off we went to the receiver. 600 scoops of the most beautiful deans i have seen in a long time then the long trek to the rocks. We got there about 730 and the current had switched from the previous week and fishing was slow on the bigger fish. Justin made the call to run to the ridge. He said no one had looked yet this year and we might as well be first. We woke up the next morning and got to fishing around 8 and it was a little slow at the start but after an hour it went full speed. I dropped a Tady 4/0 in purple chrome glow back and hooked into what felt to be a volkswagon, 40 minutes later I saw what had plagued me and it turned out to be a 60LB Tail. We went back to the rocks for the next day and got into solid 30-70lb yellow fin fishing. We decided to run back up the line to cedros and check that out with not much but bass going on. We did have a fun little bass tourney then it was off back up the line. We made a stop and Jeronimo to check for C-Bass and Butts with only 1 Butt being landed. All in All a great trip and I can say the crew was amazing the captain is out of this world and Food was to die for. I'll def be back for more next year

My personal best is only 39 lbs and that was a real alley fight. I can only imagine what it would be like to pull on one that big! Nice Yella!
