Don't be that guy. He comes on the boat with not just a single bag like a Hippo Ranger or a WFO bag. Oh no, he's got another bag or two of jigs, another one with rigging supplies, and he keeps his reel case in the rack as well. He's a space pig. I'm not too fond of that guy.
Oh my. Steve I totally agree, fyi do not ever go on the RR Newell/Yozuri 10 day in Oct. you would lose your shit and go postal.

What about the "Expert" last year that would lay down and sleep in that spot. At least he did until I "Accidently" dropped an 8 oz torpedo sinker on his head

I promise I won't bring anymore bags other than the ones you mentioned in August on the Vagabond and just for the record...it was three jig bags

Oh, I'm glad you're gonna be that guy. I'm planning on fishing out of your bag, so bring plenty. I'm stepping on the boat with 25, 30, and 40 lb rigs and a bottle of Gin. Bring extra tee shirts, OK?

Well, I might bring my lucky hook.

Then I have seen that guy just not get it at all too and couldn't understand why stuff like that kept happening to him the whole trip.
Ya know, I leave it up to the crew to police their anglers when it comes to stuff like that. If I have a real problem with finding a spot for my bag, I let them know and usually get results. If not, I'll take the initiative and start pointing out the crap that needs to be moved to a stateroom to free up space on the rack. But sometimes, you just gotta go with it, and avoid it next time.

Maybe you could just have Boiler come fishing and he can cut all of my lines and retie my hooks and grab any of my bags.

Let me know how that works for ya

Oh, wait a minute. You mean THAT Guy! The one with the Tackle Condo on the end of the tackle island? Then a big container of topshots, pre-made wind-on leaders on the top rack, enough for everybody on the boat for the entire trip? Then another BIG BAG of crap in a prime spot on the tackle island and one more in the middle of it? The one with the big fat ass that stands in front of his Tackle Condo and blocks the whole area between him and the corner of the bait tank, forcing everybody else to walk completely around the back end of the bait tank to get to their rods up the port side? Is that the guy you're talking about?

I had almost completely forgotten about him. Except for a detail or two.

Please don't be that guy.

Does his name start with Xxxx?

This is not about naming names. It's more about getting it right and everybody treating each other like they would like to be treated. We have a very limited area to work with on the boats when it comes to having a place to conveniently work out of our tackle bags/boxes. Those who take more than their fair share just piss me off, I don't care how long they have been fishing the boat or how much money they spend. I was on a fiver one time with my old Plano box on the deck, and every time I wanted to get into it, somebody was sitting on it.

Last trip, one of the guys just placed a large SKB box on the deck and then used all of his rocket launchers for his rods. It was a pain in the ass. Nice guy, and he was allowed to do it. Not his fault, there was just no space on the racks. Crew did not make an attempt to get him a spot by looking into the way the racks were being abused by some knucklehead.

The only one I have is from a dive boat.

Simply said, this woman (non-diver) was adamant on having her two young (maybe around 6 y.o.) daughters sleep on the only two benches in the stern of the boat while the whole boat was suiting up for the first dive. Granted, she could have put them in the galley, or even on bunks downstairs. Nope.

Didn't even apologize or anything, didn't move her kids until after the dive, probably because the crew told her to.

To make it worse, i was donning my tank and BC, without the ease of doing it from a sitting position, I kind of stumbled, and this woman firmly told me, "HEY, watch it, I have children here." hahah If it wasn't for that, I could have let it slide.
