Q-105 7day trip (6-20 to 6-27)

We showed up around 7am on the 20th of June to watch the previous trip off-load their catch. All those fish had us very excited about our trip that would leave the dock in mere hours.
After all the passengers were on board, it was a short trip to the bait recivers. We loaded up with about 500 scoops of chioce sardines! No making bait for this trip!
Heading south for Alijos Rocks now. Got there about 10:30am on Monday and immediately started catching tuna from 40-70#'s. A few Yellowtail mixed in with a couple pushing 50#'s. G.O. Morales got a 102#Yellow Fin Tuna on the kite for what would be the JP.
On the next day the current was really screwing us up, so Capt. Joe Crisci made the decision to move to the upper region of the Ridge (GOOD MOVE JOE!).
We hit the Ridge on Wednesday morning and it went WFO for 3 hours!! WE had 231 Yellowtail in less than 3 hours!!!!!! Nothing less than 15#'s, most were 20-25#'s with a lot over 30#. We limited out on the Yellowtail after hitting another spot on the upper ridge.
A great trip with a wonderful bunch of anglers, and a crew that worked thier asses off! Over half of the guys had thier personal bests resulting from this trip!!!!
Here are a few pics I took from this trip....

I got personal best yellowfin at 54 lbs. and yellowtail at 33 lbs.

My total for the trip was 11 yellowtail, 2 yellowfin and a grouper.

This was my first trip over 3 days, and I think that was true for 80% of the people on board. The food was very good and the crew was great. Joe can find the fish and will burn a lot of fuel to do it. The weather was up most of the trip and the Q road great.

Thanks Bobby for a great time.

Great looking trip, congrats!!

Nice to see Jiro back to long range fishing, it has only been a couple months but hopefully he can make it work, he is very very salty.
