The rodbuilding guys want to know. | I broke in my new Super Seeker SS-CJBF-70M with a 50# Yellow Fin Tuna on 30#...that dude fought like a Yellowtail. It totally was fucking with me! Broke in my BTG 690-J on a HUGE sculpin, later a Yellowtail lost at gaff. Most of my Yellowtail came on 50# string using my Accurate 665-HN on an old Calstar 700-H w/2" cut from the tip. I call this rod the B-52 (as i usually toss wahoo bombs with it).
So, only 2 of 4 new rods I took on this trip got thier cherries popped....The Calstar 800XLH w/20# and the SS-CJBF-70 w/40# will see more action in the weeks to come.
Bobby~

Good to hear Bobby. I hope i make it out again, i want to but my survival instinct is telling me to squeeze my dollars tightly.
Anybody got any smokin deals they know about ??
Anybody need a guy or 2 to fill spots on a charter. I might have a couple guys that can go, we all go about killing our limit very quickly while being courteous and friendly with the others. We are the type to high five a stranger and scream a little here and there. hoooorup. IF SO PLEASE PM me.

Bobby,
This was a great trip and I immediately signed up to go back. So did Dale, Alex and probably another couple of our friends. Maybe my 8 year old son will be ready next year as well. It was the best overall group of guys I have ever traveled with. Helpful and friendly.
The rods you personally made and raffled were absolutely spectacular! Thanks also for the killer goody bags. Even though I live in Encinitas, I will be up soon for a visit to the shop. After seeing the time and workmanship on those rods I would recommend to anyone to check out your work.
Thanks for setting up a wonderful trip!
Good times!
Ty
