| First String 2 Day Report.
Just got back yesterday form a two day trip on the First String. We had a great trip. Twenty passengers boated about 130-140 albacore. There were about a dozen bulefin landed. All of our luck came on the first day of fishing. We only took about 4 albies on the second day.
The fish were 15-25 pound class. They made for a good fight on my twenty pound rig. My rig of choice was a Penn International 945, 50# spectra backing and 20# mono top shot. This was my first albacore trip, and I had a blast.
Hats off to the crew of the First String. They worked really hard and never gave up on the fish. I’ll be going out on a five day with them as soon as I can. |
