Red Rooster 15 day late January

OK guys I can try to get off for this one or the June heat trip. The June trip would take an act of god but I know the wahoo are the ticket then......

I am ready to go after cows again.

Didn't this trip go to PV one year? George?

Scott, I've never been on the "June Heat" trip but many of my friends have. Like any 15-Day you have a chance at the fishing trip of a life time, or just a great vacation. One thing they tell me is that it's not called "June Heat" for no reason. Bring your light clothes, be ready for HOT and sometimes extreamly humid weather. As far as the Wahoo go, last years June trip was a ripper. That said the Jan. trip this year was just as good. The trip I was on in Jan. the year before we only got 10 for the trip, I felt lucky to get 1 (almost got another, you know how that goes). Proper hydration is a must. I go with regular Coors during the day then switch to Makers Mark around 5 in the evening with that ocassional cigar. Good luck on either trip you choose, hope you get a limit of Wahoo...that is something that can be hard to do.

Go get them, Jeff

Almost forgot, that P.V. trip your talking about was the first trip in Jan. 2 years ago. They don't go down there unless its full on wide open or a case of despiration.

It's been years but I have been on both and you can have great fishing on either one. No doubt about it; it's June heat for a reason. I actually had much better wahoo fishing on one of the January trips but that was years ago when the islands were open. Good luck.

Scott, is that 1/23-2/7 2009? Some interesting characters on that one. Looks like it's JWG driving. I'm pretty sure this is Willy, Wahoodad, and if I get off my ass and swing this deal I'm working on, maybe me, too! It would take a fair sized commission check to make that one happen after a ten day on Intrepid 11/15-25 this year. If not in 2009, we're definitely going to do something longer in the Winter Season of '09-10.
