The smoking light is LIT!

OK, guys. I don't smoke cigarrettes, but I enjoy an occassional cigar. Never have I had a cigar that I enjoyed more than after landing 5 Yellow Fin Tuna at Alijos, honoring the one day limit and mixing a large scotch and torching up a dominican puro while watching the action. I am VERY careful with moving to where the smoke doesn't bother others. Generally, I like to wait until after dinner, put a folding chair on the back deck, then light up a monte cristo or an El Rey del Mundo (thanks, Ken). My question is not about who hates those stinkin' dog rockets. I really would like to know how many people enjoy this vice too.

I would say my cigar habit is more than occasional. I do enjoy a great Cigar, glass of wine or other spirit and the firepit in my back yard. I do my best thinking then....
On the water is even better...Catalina at Dusk

Love a good cigar occasionally and can't think of a better time to light one up with a drink or beer after a good days fishing. There is something special to me out on the boat with the salt air and good company. Can't wait till the next trip.

Three most enjoyable times to smoke 1) Fishing or just afterwards is the only time I do cigars, 2) a good pipe with a smooth brandy around the campfire after a day hunting, 3) a smoke after other 'fun' activity, but cigars and pipes are too cumbersome in those 'circumstances'.

Although the salute may be BD all the way, he is definitely not enjoying a 'puro', remember that cigarrettes were excluded from my post! Generally, you will find less facism associated with people enjoying a fine, hand-rolled cigar. Don't ya think?
I try to find a spot that will allow my smoke to drift away from others. They usually have to go out of their way to share it with me. Also, I do think it is important to get away from the galley door. On the PS, Tommy would ask his passengers to warn them if they were going to smoke cigars on the top deck so they could shut the rear bridge door and prevent backdrafts. No worries there!

After dinner, only on a day I've caught a 200, up top in my deck chair, feet up, a wee nip of very old cognac, and a few puffs on a nice cigar. Oh yeah.

I don't really care what I've caught that day, burning a good mellow 'gar after dinner is a fine way to end it.

Not hatin', just sayin'.
