Old reel question...

I'm just curious about a fly reel my Uncle just gave me. It's a "LAURENTIAN FLY REEL made in Canada for R. H. Macy & Co., Inc. Herald Square New York." It came on an H & I "Princess" bamboo rod and I am guessing it was a combo sold by Macys. I found a lot of info on the rod but little on the reel manufacturer. The rod is pre 1933 and is missing half of the ferrule and I think some guides. Thanks in advance for any info or links.I'm just curious about a fly reel my Uncle just gave me.
