Of course, I want to catch what I can on the fly. Worth the trip that time of year? Had good action that time of year out of Cabo. Does the Pacific fish better than the Cortez then?
Thanks. Always appreciate any info anybody is willing to share. |
Hey cliftoma..
East Cape in October can provide damn good action for the fly. You will still find roosterfish, often lots of them. However, you may not see as many
grandes, ie. gallos over 25lb's. Most of the roosterfish will be under 10lb. in all likelyhood.
One thing to keep in mind is that tropical storms and hurricanes can happen in the first week or so of October. Obviously, they can throw a wet blanket on your fishing trip for a couple of days.
El Capo's suggestion is worthy also. Offshore at Mag Bay can be awesome in October.
Enjoy...
