| 1st coat of apoxy sagged alittle
Did my first wrap on my tiger wrap. Applied a coat of apoxy, sometime during the night the belt broke on my dryer causing the apoxy to sag alittle. Not alot but enough to bug me. Can I apply another coat and will it even out, or heat with a hair dryer and cut off all the stuff and start wrapping over?

I think you can sand it down with some fine grit Tim. Once evened out then apply a second coat.

Tim you will need to let it cure before you sand. You can trim it some with a razor blade like you do tag ends and then re coat. if the sag is not real bad just put another coat on and level it out. A second coat of finish will add to the depth of the tiger warp.

Thanks guys, I might try one more coat. If that don't work I'll let it cure and sand.

Using a very sharp brand new blade, shear vertically with the length of the blank, dont go too deep. If you can see the saggy spots with your eye it should be easy to knock those down. Sanding can be a bitch because if you dont let it cure long enough you get goop. Just knock it down a little and put another coat on and you will be good to go.

Had something similar happen this weekend. I let it cure & actually just sanded the high spots down with 220 grit.
The I spun it and gave it just a bit more sanding to smooth things out.
Another coat of finish & it was good ta go!

-Tim- | If you do end up sanding, dont go too deep and get into the thread. You will then have a ugly spot.
