well said scott.if you owe them a rod or money they have a right to bitch. the others need to mind their owne business. what happened last time this was brought up on bd got out of hand.hope you get everything worked out and you can get back to the task at hand.also thanks for what you've given to the rod building community.

Scott, I hope you get it back together. You built me a wonderful rod last year and I hope to use you again. I am a CPA if you need some advice. You are right about not going cheap on the bean counters. I find a good CPA to be of more value than an attorney.

I probably shouldn't be posting on this site but i was googling Scott Throop to show a friend some of his rods and came across this post. Sadly to say is the first result on google. I can vouch that Scott is one of the hardest working people I have known. He is in the shop 16 hours a day making rods for people leaving no time for family and friends. I know this cause I am his sister and know my brother really well. He is not out trying to get a fix nor is he on drugs. Scott spends more time at the shop than home trying to make the best rods he can possibly make for people. He works alone and is a little backed up. So please, Scott is a great guy, he does great work and Im proud of his accomplishments. He will get everyones Rods build and the quality will be worth the wait.

I met Scott a few months ago after starting out here on Bloodydecks. He has shared information with myself and Mary, asking nothing in return. I agree with his sister, he is in that shop working on rods seemingly nonstop and always does super high quality work. If he is backed up it is probably because he is in demand. Super cool guy. Gave Mary a lesson on doing tiger wraps, hooked me up with a part I needed for nothing, just an overall good guy.

One thing for sure, if I could build a stick half as pretty as Scott Throop does I'd be a very happy rod builder.
And that folks, is as we used to say in the USMC a no shitter. |
