so i bought this old rod at a yard sale

years ago. it was ugly & had been painted black and crudley rewrapped. i only wanted the old school aftco rollers for a calstar gf755xxh i was building. (it was the year after my 1st mothership trip and i was hip to how the big grouper will treat you)
so now i find myself with two oldschool projects, a sabre #670h & a neptuna #528 (before being bought by lamiglass) and i went looking in the garage for the old black rod. i found under the paint was a chocklate color glass and the gimbal grip is cork with two black rubber sections have "dynamo" printed in relief on them. so i know its a truline rod and a real pool que.
i'm going to regrip this one and the sabre in corktape, what i want to know is ,is there any way to identify #mod. line weight etc.so that i can have the label correct when i rewrap? iv'e heard there is a good chance of there being a mod. # printed on the blank but can it be identified by length dia. etc.?
i used 65# spectra on the neptuna this spring on tony reyes trip and it is awesome. i'm going to wrap a set of oldschool sticks to give new life to........considering what the braid does for them.

Trulines had the model # written on the blank anywhere from 4 to 12" from the butt end of the rod. that will tell you what you need to know. If nothing is there, then chances are its been cut.
