| Who wraps in Hueneme, Oxnard?
I have an old glass 6.5 with cork grip and koa butt gimbaled. Bought it at the Roseville flea market years ago for $10.
It has a afco rollers. The guides are loose as hell.
I think this might be a fun 50# cleaned up.

Have a look at www.rodbuilding.org
They have a directory of builders.

They're out of Ventura, and do awesome work. Not so sure that they'll be interested in doing a re-wrap job for you, but you never know.
Might cost more to strip, clean up, and re-wrap your old rod, than to build a new one from scratch. Look into all of your options.
Good luck,
Steve (Socalslew)

Thanks for the tips. I think Steve's was the best.
One of my fishing buds reminded today me how heavy those old rods are.
It's going on ebay unless someone local wants it.

Yeah, could work. When I bend it off the floor I love the old glass.
I'm not real savvy on the Scal fishing. I broke many a high end graphite on salmon steelhead, and stripper in Ncal. Most through travel taps and later snaps. Hard to horse those 30#'s going down river with the current. Fun tho.
Hence, my like of fiber.
Not to mention I still stream fish trout with my almost 40 year old fenwick FL365? I noticed the #s are almost worn off.
It's just a thing knowing that rod has been to Desolation Valley in the '60s, flipped worms, mepps, and super dupers all up thro the Sierras. Not to mention caught thousands of shad on the American River. Still works like dream.
Aint it shit getting old and nostalgic?
edit..got a # for Doc Ski?
