check out the Jaws blanks at acidrod. they were designed as jigging blanks, and also a great value.

Jaws blanks seem to be really good from the reviews I've read. I've done a couple jigging rods myself with phenix blanks and I love them. If you want a jigging blank that also looks cool go for the phenix hybrid. Strong as hell, light, and they look awesome.

I was quite happy with the 7'6" 30-60# JAWS blank I just brought back from a trip.
I've a 7' 20-50# Calstar GFX I really like the action on too, but the JAWS impresses me as more bulletproof and the little extra length is nice.
The JAWS also matches your description of a Japanese jigging blank.

My personal favorite. | Word.
But I think he is referring to the recent trend in short, thin, vertical jigging rods developed here in Japan 25 years ago.
Long rods rule.

Thanks for all the input guys. You've got me headed in the right direction for sure! On a related note I was wondering.....does anyone have any experience with the titanium framed turbo guides from acidrod? I like the looks of them and the price is very fair for a Ti framed guide.
