| 60's Flash-Backs
While I never tried LSD back in the 60's, I thought this Throop/Colby tiger looked a lot like the tie-dyed clothing the hippies wore back then.
This is my fourth tiger wrap and my favorite so far. I used all NCP size A thread. The base wrap is goldenrod, orange and 245 blue. The top wrap is purple with 2 sacrificial threads. There are tigers between all the guide feet.
If that wasn't enough tigers, I decided to put them on the guide wraps as well. They're also done in size A NCP. I used the goldenrod and 245 blue for the base and the top with the 245 blue. I only used 2 coats of finish between wraps in order to keep the bulk down.
Sorry that the photos aren't real good. It's probably too bright outside today for good photos, but someone decided they couldn't live without it and wants to pick it up tomorrow before leaving town, so I have to put his name on it this afternoon and epoxy it.

Nice looking. You can never have too many tigers. Especially good tigers.

Way cool Bill. Heavy rods like that are great candidates for tigers as guide wraps as most are double over-wrapped anyway. I surprised we dont see them more often.
Well done!

Sweetness!
Why not wrap all the way to the tip?
