800M

Going to the Lupe next week, finally got it done. The weave still sucks, the last one looked better, until the CP was put on.

800M, Alps seat, fuji turbo hardloys(not my fav guide but had them laying around for a loooong time so had to use them up), holllowshimmer under wrap, ncp black on top.

Learn something new, Alps centra-lock do not work with an MX-J.

If you are having problems with your MXJ fitting call Avet. They sell a replacement foot for use with smaller reel seats. It costs $15. I use them on my MXJ's and SX's for my Fuji casting seats etc...Rod looks pretty sweet too. We have an 800M we are workin on right now too. Damn nice all purpose rod..

Awesome! Love the holo underwrap.

The small Avets have a THICK reel foot and you have to get the replacement foot (as stated above) to make 'em fit a small seat. I use Hardloys all the time. Pretty darn good guide for the money. VERY durable. Great lookin' rod!!

Hey Bobby,
The peg portion of the seat clamp that extend from the reel seet is too narrow for the Alps.

John, thanks for the heads-up, I'll call Avet monday morning. Hopefully I can swing by and pick one up on my way to SD.

Looks good Rusty. Too bad you didn't finish it a few days ago! I was just at Avet Thursday. That's going to be a long haul for you.

See you Tuesday.
