| "Micro Launcher" for the Texas flats
Just completed this rod going to a raffle in Texas to help support the Texas Rod Builder's "rod for soldiers" program. It's built on a Lamiglas perigee series PSH 99 2MT blank (2pc 8ft 3in) (8-17lb 1/4-5/8 oz)
Honey Locust wood split grip & butt, fully exposed casting seat w/quick-lock cork forgrip, all 4mm guides & tip-top all on top config.

Ray, it blows my mind too see what you create...doubly so because I see you weren't already a paid pro!! Sir, you should consider doing classes, videos, etc. Afterall, I think all would agree that a day with a "mentor", whomever that should be, has the potential to be a "priceless" event.

I am the Director of the Rods For Soldiers program for the Texas Rod Builders and I want to publically thank Raymond for his donation. He is one of the finest rodbuilders I know. His donation will help put a lot of custom rods into the hands of our returning heroes. We also donate to police and firemen that are injured in the line of duty.
Raymond, I am going to buy a handful of tickets for that rod myself.
Thanks partner
Pat

Thank you very much Russ!
I do like teaching alot and that was one reason for the Library website.
My wife has a video camera and I've thought many times about trying to make a few videos. Maybe soon. I'm also trying to do a class at my local Community Center as my shop is just a small room in my house. Much to small for even one other person at times.
If it were not for others showing ME there tallents & tricks I would have the talent I do so returning the favor is very important to me.
Anyone can email or call me anytime if they need help with anything.

Officially no Capt. G but years of fighting depression, success at kicking a long bout with drug abuse, and a year of counseling sessions as a patient has provided me with some limited experience. Now if I could just get these rod building, smoking, and internet addictions under control I could probably get licensed to practice! |
