Rod wrapping motor

Hey I want to get a sewing machine motor to use as a rod wrapping motor my question is how many rpm and volts does it have to be thanks

Something variable speed in the range of a couple hundred RPMs. It also depends on how you gear it with pullies, etc...

Voltage as I see it is not really a big factor because it's going to be stepped up to plug in to the wall anyhow...

A simple HD sewing machine motor will do just fine. I have mine on a direct drive to the blank and use a foot pedal to vary the speed.
