Thought I'd give an update.
I recieved the rod Matt built all I can say is WOW!! Flawless work, absolutely perfect I couldnt be happier. I cant believe the tiger is threadwork it looks like a hologram.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope that the contributions pay off. I grew up in socal, and plan to return at some point - I would really hate to see the waters shut down to fishing...
