Rod building Thread, blue rope grip rod 15-30lb in Fishing Related; so heres the rod that i was have all kinds of decal problems with..and look still no decal...o well...im going ...

blue rope grip rod 15-30lb

so heres the rod that i was have all kinds of decal problems with..and look still no decal...o well...im going to key west this friday so i rushed it so i can get to use it..nothing great and 8ft 15-lb grafite blank spiral wrapped.deck hand style with some cork tape inlay...check out the sweet shotgun shell for a butt, i had to use it because it has my name on it

so if i dont break it when im in the keys i will try another shot at the decal thing.. but for now this is it..

thats how we rate our rods down here.. the 12 ga means we can cast 12 yards over the georgia border from my house...

just kiddin...12 gauge is the bullet size i know you know that

I like the butt cap, but I hope you realise you still have a live primer in there.
A decent knock will set it off unless you filled it with oil or something to render it useless.
They don't have a huge amount of power, but given that the rod is sealed it could
A: Just blow the primer out.
B: Blow the whole cap out
C: Split the blank
D: Scare the crap out of you!


From memory 12GA, 20GA etc is the number of lead balls that diameter to the pound.
