Looks great John&Mary, Clean and with a simple color scheme given some life. I especially like such color schemes with some bold contrasts tossed in, as they just seem to pop better visually.

Awesome looking unit, good job you two. Now remember to give a report on the blank and its intended use. Maybe even some pictures.

Thanks guys. Doc, this rod will be a seabass killer, with whatever else he can catch on it thrown in...

Homan finally got to put this rod to the test on tuna and large rockfish. He said it kicked major ass. Handled every fish with no problem. Except the big tuna that got him on 20lb test for over an hour. His line finally failed, but he said the rod worked perfect throughout the fight. That is a good sign, because the fish obviously outranked the high end of the rods rating. Anyhow, thanks for the sweet pose Homan...

On a side note as he was fighting the tuna he was on for over an hour he smacked his foot on a cleat and fractured it. So until he lost it he was fighting with a broken foot..He kept battling anyway of course..

I'm gonna say by Capt G's thread bag that it was Gudebrod #37 and #245 royal blue under along with a grey, then the #245 over with two sacrificial threads.

In a move of absolute genius, Homan snuck some of his wife's bacon into the sushi roll he made from this tuna. He says it is the best sushi roll he's ever had. Everything's better with bacon..
