Newbie Question

When you guys do a double wrap (one under-one over) do you put a coat of finish on the underwrap before wrapping the guide on? Thanks in advance for you help.

I do most of the time but it's no necessary when i coat the underwrap i use a real thin coat of finish i coat in between because i use mostly A thread for everything but you can use A for the underwrap and C or D for the over and it wont dig into the thinner underwrap if you use A

It depends. If you're having trouble with gaps onh the top wraps, go ahead and coat that base wrap--makes it nice and smooth.
