Orange County Rod Building Class is in Full Swing

We held our 3rd rod building class last night at my shop. It was a good time with everyone asking questions and seeing how others have done wrapping rods.

We helped Wayne set up his 1st rod, a BTG 90-J. Newbie to the 'class' was Scott with his 7.5' Jaws 30-60#--a monster of a blank. Gave him some tips on setting up his reel seat and gimbal. I spected out a these 2 rods for them as far as guide spacing goes. So, these new sticks are off and rolling.

Most of the guys that have attended so far have been extremely new to rod building, which is awesome. I think they've all gotten what they've come for. One of the best things guys are learning is the little tips that myself and others are giving. Learn from my mistakes, and then make your own is a good motto, I suppose

Come on guys , if you dont know how to wrap and want to learn, Bobby is the man. Take advantage of these classes, custom rod wrapping is an art and it is fun too, so get down to Glenns, and bring yer rod wraping machine and enjoy the fun!!
