Had another great time last night at the shop during class. I showed the guys how to make guide repairs easy. Myke (yes Myke) was especially impressed, as he brought a rod that needed a new guide. On certain types of guide repair one does not need to remove all the old wrapping and epoxy(finish). I'll post picks later tonite showing how.
Ed brought in his botched tiger wrap. He discovered that 2 threads of A on the base and 2 threads of C w/one sacrificial won't show any effect. Lesson learned as he is stripping it off and giving another go.
Teaching, learning and the sharing of knowlege is what this class is all about.
Next class is Wednesday July 29th. Show up and have fun!
Bobby~

Right on. That was cool on how Bobby did the guide replacement, Something I would have never thought of. That's what's most valuable about this, the learning never stops. My apoligies again Myke for the "jackass" comment!!! I woke up with foot taste in my mouth!! Ed F

Got to try to make it to one of your classes.
My tiger wraps seem to be stuck in the "kitten" phase.

Another fun night of wrapping and bull sh***ing has come and gone. John(Neptune) and his grandson came by to show us some cool new gadgets for rod wrapping. That was a treat! Noobies Tim and James came by to see what the classes are all about. They got a kick out of the whole deal. Reg's Tom and Scott rounded out the line-up.
I showed the guys how easy wrapping rods in all black thread can be. Scott was stoked, as he has a freind that wants one in all black.
I'll post pics tomorrow....
Bobby~
